Mortgage interest rates of around 2% could be with us until 2020, according to the former chair of the Financial Services Authority, Lord Adair Turner. Lord Turner\u2019s prediction was made on BBC Radio 4\u2019s Today programme, in which he also commented that the bank lending rate of 0.5%, that has remained at a record low since March \u00a02009, could be here \u201calmost indefinitely\u201d.<\/p>\n
