{"id":1418,"date":"2016-04-04T17:27:18","date_gmt":"2016-04-04T17:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fpgonline.co.uk\/?p=1418"},"modified":"2023-09-19T11:16:12","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T11:16:12","slug":"iht-resentment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fpgonline.co.uk\/index.php\/iht-resentment\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Resentful\u2019 Middle Class Should Take Inheritance Tax Advice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to a report in this weekend\u2019s Telegraph,\u00a0Middle Class families are &#8216;resentful&#8217; over the Government\u2019s desire to take a record \u00a34.6bn in inheritance tax (IHT) \u2013 a report by the Office for National Statistics also showed that\u00a0receipts for the 12 months to February 2016 will be more than a fifth higher than the previous year\u2019s figures.<\/p>\n<p>Some experts have dubbed inheritance tax as a \u201cdevious\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/tax\/income-tax\/middle-class-professional-your-lifetime-tax-bill-could-be-36m\/\">tax on middle-class savers<\/a>\u00a0who have enjoyed financial success, however, with the right planning and advice, families can arrange their finances in such a way that exposure to inheritance tax is kept to a minimum.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Inheritance Tax should be considered as a voluntary tax.
