If you\u2019ve had your ears pricked recently by reports regarding amazing returns from investing in Bitcoin or other Crypto currencies, or investigated other buzzword topics such as Blockchain technology, then it can be quite a baffling learning process to even understand, let alone to start making educated investment decisions in what has become a highly volatile market place.<\/p>\n
We all dream of winning big in a \u2018get rich quick\u2019 gold rush, however, history shows that by the time the investment bubble reaches the masses \u2013 it is usually about to go pop. There are also many penny-share companies metamorphosing to tempt unwitting investors, and in some cases, to devastating effect. In a recent article, The Motley Fool website used an example of Croe, a sports clothing company, \u2018re-inventing\u2019 itself as The Crypto Company \u2013 and in the space of just over three months \u2013 the $0.01 share price went interstellar\u2026 at one stage before being suspended for investigation by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the price topped $642 per share, equating to a market capitalisation of $12.6 billion. The report said; \u201cTo put that in perspective, at that point The Crypto Company was worth more than\u00a0Harley-Davidson.\u201d<\/p>\n
It went on to state; \u201cAs many as 42,500 shares traded hands above the current level of $174. While that isn’t a lot on an absolute basis, don’t tell that to the individual investors who have lost a bundle and don’t know if or when they’ll ever be able to sell their shares on the open market.\u201d That serves to remind us that we should never invest in anything we don\u2019t fully understand.<\/p>\n
