{"id":3022,"date":"2023-02-23T11:01:57","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T11:01:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fpgonline.co.uk\/?p=3022"},"modified":"2023-09-19T09:45:09","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T09:45:09","slug":"treasury-windfall-unlikely-to-prompt-personal-tax-rates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fpgonline.co.uk\/index.php\/treasury-windfall-unlikely-to-prompt-personal-tax-rates\/","title":{"rendered":"Treasury Windfall Unlikely To Prompt Personal Tax Rate Cuts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest data released by the Treasury shows that it has received record tax receipts across income, capital gains and inheritance taxes over the past year, however, tax experts warned this was unlikely to prompt cuts in personal tax rates in next month\u2019s Budget.<\/p>\n<p>The figures show that self-assessed income tax receipts reached \u00a321.9bn in January 2023, jumping one-third on the previous year, boosted by frozen thresholds, inflation and high employment numbers.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, capital gains tax payments hit \u00a313.2bn in January \u2014 up 24 per cent from the same month in 2022 \u2014 as investors hurried to lock in gains ahead of speculation about tax rate rises last spring.<\/p>\n<p>As part of your financial plan, it is always important\u00a0to review tax and legislation changes to see how they will affect you and your family.
