Alan, a founding Partner of The Financial Planning Group, has a wealth of knowledge working as a financial planner since 1988.
He is a Chartered Financial Planner and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the premier professional body for the financial services profession.
Alan has experience of a wide range of personal and corporate financial planning solutions with a particular expertise in wealth management, pension transfers and long term care planning for the elderly.
He is a Watford FC season ticket holder and for pleasure walks his gorgeous black lab Edie as often as he can.

Tim Norris

Tim co-founded The Financial Planning Group in 1993 and still leads the business today. He has over 37 years of experience as a financial adviser and chartered financial planner providing tailored financial solutions for individual and family needs.
Tim is keen golfer, enjoys keeping fit and long walks with his dog, Gladys.

John McCue

John is a Chartered Financial Planner who has worked at The Financial Planning Group since 2004.
He particularly enjoys building long-term client relationships and finds great satisfaction in helping clients achieve their financial goals through a combination of financial planning and investment advice.
Outside of work, John likes to relax by spending time with his family locally in Bushy Park or by the river, or by putting is feet up and reading some historical fiction and non-fiction. He also still enjoys playing football in the West London Veterans League, and is looking forward to ‘walking’ football in the not-too-distant future.

Sarah Krelle
Business Support Supervisor
Sarah joined FPG in May 2017 and has proved to be an invaluable member of staff who now runs the firm’s administration department on a day-to-day basis.
Throughout her career, Sarah has built a reputation for “treating customers fairly” having in fact won awards for this in her previous roles. Sarah adopts an approachable communication style, enabling clients to make informed decisions with confidence.
Driven by integrity and a commitment to excellence, and whether working with clients or financial institutions, she brings a results-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach to every engagement.

Debbie Timlaline
Operations Manager
Debbie joined The Financial Planning Group as Operations Manager in May 2025, where she is leading the transformation of the firm’s operations strategy, streamlining back-office functions, and supporting succession planning initiatives. Debbie is very people-focused and values strong relationships, whether she’s working with clients or collaborating with colleagues. She believes that communication, mutual trust, and a bit of humour go a long way in building a positive and productive environment.
Outside of work, Debbie can often be found with her passport in her hand heading to sunny climates. She also enjoys spending time with her family and loves to be down at her allotment with her hands in the dirt.

Marichen Erasmus
Senior Client Support Administrator
Marichen joins FPG as our Senior Client Support Administrator, having relocated from Cape Town, South Africa, in early 2025. She studied a Bachelor of Commerce in Investment Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning at Stellenbosch University, where her passion for helping people take control of their finances really took shape.
Outside of the world of financial planning, she’s someone who values connection, fun, and nature. She enjoys quality time with family and friends, watching live sports, and making the most of the outdoors – rain or sunshine.

Jess studied Finance & Investment Banking at the University of Greenwich, which gave her a strong foundation in the industry and sparked her interest in building a long-term career in financial services.
